How to deal with negative emotions in a healthy way?
Firstly you should know - sometimes you shouldn't deal with negative emotions:
Negative emotions are a characteristic of all people, and they are also necessary. A person's life is like a sine wave, and the deeper the fall, the higher the rise after. Remember that when you are feeling down, things will get better again.
Let's consider a simple situation. Let's say you won a million dollars. Your emotions would be through the roof, filled with new joyful expectations and events. So many problems would be solved! Now, let's compare those emotions to the joy of a homeless man who found 5000 rubles. For him, everything will also change, and all of his problems for the day will be solved. The level of emotional uplift will be the same for you and him! You might say that the homeless man won't be able to solve his housing problems or buy a car. But consider that you might not have enough money to buy a paradise island with a yacht and a helicopter. These are roughly equivalent categories for your respective social levels. And who's to say that you won't be in his place tomorrow, or that he won't be in yours? However, at the moment, the emotional uplift for you and the homeless man is very different, but the feelings are the same. From my own experience, I can make a simple conclusion: in everyone's life, there are ups and downs within their current level of social status. The homeless man found money for a bottle of alcohol, and you've gotten a big raise at work. Always be aware that in any situation, a person will experience, on average, an equal intensity of ups and downs, being at the same level of social status. There is no need to be afraid of negative emotions, as they can lead to new ups!
Based on the above, our main task in life is to raise the sine wave to a new level and not to attach importance to momentary ups and downs. It's easy to assess the moment, but time will ultimately judge everything, as I already mentioned in my last article. And don't forget that every fall prepares a life springboard for a new takeoff.
How to deal with small and useless negative emotions in a healthy way:
Now let's talk about working with small life negativity, which slowly kills our nerves and time. The first task is to "leave malice, everyone who enters here." Remove all of the small bad things from your life. It's all small, and you won't remember it in six months. You can vary this period individually, but I think six months is optimal. Every time you encounter a negative situation, ask yourself if you will remember it. If not, then don't think about it for more than 30 seconds. Banish those thoughts from your mind, as the mind is meant to help you step over the holes on the path of life and understand their value. Evaluate everything through the prism of time, as only time is objective. Questions about money and what people will think are irrelevant, as you can analyze your own past and get the same answer. Time is the only objective thing, so the question is: what should you spend it on? Obviously not on thinking about bad people who push in lines, are selfish, and stupid. You don't care about them, and you know it yourself, so don't keep remembering it! In our world, nothing can be added or subtracted. Everything is happening as it should have been. The fact that you are reading these lines is proof of that. There will be many arguments later, but take my word for it for now. You are the epicenter of your world, and no one and nothing else matters. Always remember this when you want to spend your nerves and strength on people who are not worth it.
The second task is to control your anger and do not distribute it around. Let the task is not easy, but do not spread your bad mood to others. Let it be banal, but think about it. Excessive reaction shows your weakness, and you not only do not want to be weak, but even more so do not want to show yourself as such. Before you give a piece of your anger, remember this and everything will be taken off with your hand.
It is not necessary to attach great importance to this type of emotion. You will not be able to create with them and you will not benefit from them either. Let them be, it's as much a part of life as your physiology. Do internal hygiene, it's even more necessary than external, you still won't be able to get dirty, but you can't forget to wash.
